Julio Ramirez, MD FACP, has served as Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases and professor of medicine at the University of Louisville for more than 30 years. Dr. Ramirez’s areas of clinical and translational research include pneumonia, influenza, and emerging respiratory pathogens. He has more than 200 publications in journals such as Annals of Internal Medicine and Clinical Infectious Diseases and is the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Louisville Journal of Respiratory Infections.
Forest Arnold, DO, is the Center’s Director of Clinical Research and a faculty member in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville. Dr. Arnold also leads the University of Louisville Hospital Epidemiology Program and the Center’s Medical Writing program.

Ruth Carrico, PhD FSHEA RN CIC, is a faculty member in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville. Dr. Carrico also leads the University of Louisville International Travel Clinic and the Center’s Clinical Research Internship program. She currently serves as president-elect for the Kentucky Nurses Association.

Leslie Wolf, PhD, is a faculty member in Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville where she leads the CLIA-certified reference laboratory and biorepository. Dr. Wolf also serves as Lab Director at the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness.
